The 9th IAS Conference on HIV Science in Paris, France took place this year in July, 2017, attended by approximately 6000 doctors, researchers, activists and reporters.

Alan Landay PhD, Professor & Chairman, Department of Immunology/Microbiology at Rush university Medical Center, Chicago IL & Elisabeth Menu talk about the Human Microbiome.

Alan Landay explains the benefits of therapeutic doses of probiotics, prebiotocs, postbiotics and synbiotics in HIV research.

I found it very interesting when Elisabeth Menu talks about the Microbiome - An expanding World!

The number of microbiome publications increased from 3 in 1966 to 7970 in 2016.

The number of Microbiome HIV publications increased from 0 in 1996 to 93 in 2016.

The conference talks about exciting news on advances in HIV treatment and prevention research.

Topics included;

  1. HIV and new drugs
  2. HIV and children- especially new treatment
  3. HIV prevention
  4. Equality of care & global health
  5. HIV complications
  6. Basic science- Immunology, care and vaccines

Very interesting and worth watching!
